Hi, all, I'm a newbie---both to the forum and to beemer-hood.

My first BMW is a 1992 318is convertible. I just bought it a month ago, with no user manual.

Frequently as I'm driving (under all conditions, no one circumstance stands out, and all indicators are normal), the car beeps at me, three in succession, beep-beep-beep, not fast, not slow. Sounds like it's coming from under the dash, driver's side, near the hood latch, or maybe the driver's door, although I know that could be hard to pinpoint precisely.

What's it telling me?

Thanks.

Good call on the OBC memo. I was going to suggest maybe not haveing on your seat belt as many cars now do that. Then i remembered that a 92 dosnt do that.

If the memo button is not on.
The exterior temp. has to be really cold (I think below 62 degrees) or really hot (over 98 degrees) It happened to me before.

Which I doubt that is cold anywhere in the US it's summer time!!!
So take out your Coronas and chill [cheers]

It's your clock men. Mine beeps every hour. I mean every 1,2,3,4,.... and all that. I like it. It happens only if you have memo on. How you know memo is on is if it's light come one by the clock.
