head unit replacement reference? e36

hey, i wanted to know if there was any documentation on swapping out the factory tape deck out of a e36 328i for a new cd player.

i have all the accessorys required, like the wiring harness, antenna adapter and the power reducer (so the guy at crutchfield says i need).
i dont remember if there was a good walkthrough or some for of write up on how this is done from the old forum.

if your cd player is new, it should come with its own instructions on installing it. for removing the stock tape player i think there are some screws on the sides. i beleive they are torx.

The wiring harness should fit right into the current factory setup, all you need to do is match the other end to your deck, the wires should be labeled in your installation manual. The job shouldn't take you more than an hour to do.
