Dry Sump Oil System?

I recently read in a Motor Trend article about their acquisition of a 2017 M2 Long term car that it has a dry sump oil system. Is this true? With all the underbody cladding it is impossible to tell. Shining a light down the oil filler it appears that the replacement oil goes directly into the engine rather than a remote oil tank.

Is there a diagram of the oil system somewhere on line I can look at?

I've read that only the transmission does and this only pertains to the DCT.

Quote from the article:
Like last year, the same brilliant 3.0-liter direct-injected turbocharged inline-six with dry-sump lubrication makes 365 horsepower and 343 lb-ft of torque
The car in the article has the DCT but the previous one they mention had the 6 MT.
